Apples and oranges brain teaser

Challenging our minds can be a great mental exercise!

You have 3 boxes. One box has oranges, one has apples and one has oranges and apples together.

The first box is labeled as “apples,” the second one as “oranges,” and the third one as “apples and oranges.” Sadly, all 3 boxes are labeled wrong, so you have to fix them.

You can’t peek inside any of the boxes, but you can ask for a sample from any box.

What is the minimum number of samples that you need to ask in order to label all the boxes correctly?
